Tara has 25 years of experience in the security industry. She started her career in Loss Prevention in Vancouver for one of the largest retailers in the world. She was then promoted to Regional Risk Manager for Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. As head of security for many countries, she oversaw the building of new stores and distribution centres and implemented safety and security policies and procedures. Tara was later Training & Communication Manager for the Global Risk Management team, based in Germany. She worked with stakeholders around the world to develop training programs and manuals and also supported the global emergency response team. She was the National Director of Loss Prevention for another major retailer, conducting audits and investigations across Canada. Tara is a licenced private investigator and has experience as an intelligence analyst, specializing in open-source intelligence investigations. Additionally, Tara has spent many years as a volunteer in BC’s prison and court systems. Tara holds an undergraduate degree in criminology at Simon Fraser University.
